Custom Style Wanted

I am now in a position to afford a custom skin for my site http://scrapstars.com (http://scrapstars.com/) I really love the colours of your blue Christmas Skin. I would also need a custom header & where you have snowflakes I would like stars & the snow that falls if that could change to shooting stars it would be FAB & if the forum buttons could also be stars. The only thing on the colour scheme I would like changed is that when you put your pointer on a link it turns white & cant been seen if it could turn pale grey instead that would be brilliant.

Can you let me know how much this would cost? Thanks hun.

Hi Faye, that all sounds do-able to me. I usually charge $150 and up for a custom style. However, since you're just wanting changes to an existing style and a custom header & forum markers, I can lower my price to $100 for what you've asked for above.

There's one thing on your wish list that I'm not going to be able to do Faye. The falling snow is a javascript that was written by a coder on vb.org. It's not my script and I can't change it.

Otherwise, everything else is a go.

Figured out the background, the blue headers above each forum section thingy (technical huh!) Ours is a flat blue not like it should be - Told you I was not good as this technology stuff LOL

Do you think the falling snow script would look silly? Or would it kinda look like stars? If it would look ok - how do I install the script & where???

Yes it would look silly, IMO. In fact I think the falling stars won't look great either. It'll be a big distraction, when you want the focus to be on your content. Stuff like that is ok for a special occasion, but not for everyday. But then, it's your decision.

As for the category strips, check this out....

Go into your Admin control panel, scroll down to Styles & Templates, Style Manager.
On the right, click on the dropdown menu next to scrapstars, select Main CSS, then click on Go.

When you get to the main CSS page, scroll down to where you see
"Category Strips (Customized in this Style)"


Look in the Background box and make sure that this code is in there:
#869BBF url(images/scrapstars/misc/gradient_tcat.gif) repeat-x top left

Also look below that in the Table Header's background box. The same code should be in there.

If it's not, replace it with what I have above. If that doesn't fix it, I'll be glad to take a look at it for you, if you'd like. I'd need admin access to your acp.

Thanks hun :D PJ was the cause of the problem! He has everything on custom paths so all we had to do was add 1 word to the paths & it works!!!!

Very very happy with it - have to see what the ladies say tomorrow :D

when i went to your site i saw the V ( bulletin) icon there in the adress bar, i had that too before, but then i replaced it with my own, you can search for favicon in chris's site ( sogol), he explains there how to put one, they are easy to make, and easy to put.
Favicon is a little symbol in the adress bar.

Ahhhhhhhhhh I had always wondered how to change that!

I have to make a new one for this site, since I changed the name
