Download the attached Zip file, and unzip to your computer.
Upload the entire peach folder into your forum/images directory, so that your path is images/peach
Import the xml file by going to your ACP --> styles and templates --> download/upload styles --> browse --> select the xml file where you have it saved on your computer --> import

Hiya Peggy, I love this design - I got my first ever VBulletin forum a few days ago & have no idea how to design a web set & have no idea how to customise a header :(

Is there any chance you could do a header for me? I have just started a scrapbooking forum http://scrapstars.com

Something simple, maybe with a scrapping theme or simply using some images of stars??

I 'm happy that you like my styles. I just popped over to your forum, and YIKES we have to get rid of that default vBulletin skin, lol. I'm happy to help in any way that I can. You said that you like this style, did you want a customized header for this one? Or did you want to go for more of a country theme? or crafts?

I really like the soft peach tones of this skin & would love a header that would blend in & look like part of the package - I would definitly like to have a few stars in the header. I really love this paper http://www.basicgrey.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42&products_id=470 - & wonder if you could take inspiration from this? prehaps using the design for the forum post buttons & some stars in a peachy tone - does that make any sense??

Any help you can give me would be amazing :) I am finding the forum to be so complex to figure out (VB controls) lol - I am a real techno newbie :)

No I'm afraid I'm not getting what you want Faye. Are you wanting an entirely new style? Or just a header for this one?

If you're wanting an entirely new skin, I charge $50, but I'm afraid I won't be able to accommodate you til after Sept 5, when my son goes back to school.

If you just want a customized header for this one, I can do that for free.

Actually here it is on the background that you used for the style Peggy. I think the colors worked great together. Let us know if you put it up FAYESY, I would like to see how it looks. :)

Upload this style as usual. Be sure that you drop the entire peach folder into your forums' images folder so that your file path says images/peach/nameoffolder/imagename.gif (or whatever).
Then upload his image, OR the header that he did for you with his logo on the peach background. Upload it into the misc folder.
Go into your acp, import the xml file.
Now you have dreamy peach style. Go to the StyleVars in the style, and change the header title to whatever the name is of the image you uploaded.

My DH did this earlier but we hit a big problem with the fact that it means our gallery is hidden - we have no idea what to do to change this... Can you help??

FAYESY if you changed styles and had a gallery added to your first style then you are gonna have to make sure the new style knows this or it won't show it. What is the link to your forum?

Should say my hubby uninstalled the new skin - we also could not figure out how to add the header you created to the skin... Arghhhhhhhhh my head hurts.

ok if you're going to use the header that Chris did in post #14, upload it to the images/peach/misc folder via ftp.
Then go to your acp and go into Styles and Templates --> style manager --> in the right hand window, next to your style name, click on the dropdown menu, and click on StyleVars.

Then go down to where it says something about the title or header image. About halfway down the page. Make sure the file path says

images/peach/misc/header.jpg

will try this again in the morning - my hubby is saying that although the skin will work - for some reason it hides my gallery, - any idea of what I need to do to change this?

yes. all of the template edits that you had to do for the gallery in the other skin, you have to do the same template edits in this skin.

Ok hun, have no idea of what template changes were made as this was done for us by the people we got the gallery from - but my hubby will see if he can figure it out - although hes getting tired so he may give up & have a nap.

ok. If your hubby isn't able to figure it out, maybe me or Chris could do them, but you'd have to trust one of us to go into your admincp and do it. Just make sure you either get the instructions from the people, or maybe they'll do it for you again.

But if you want us to do it, get the instructions. I've done this lots of times, people at vbFAQ will vouch for me ;)

its a tad long hun - the one we saved on the peach background. No idea in pixel what size we want to be honest a bit bigger than the vbulletin one I guess would be FAB.

I installed this skin (made my own header adjustments) and have a problem with it. For some reason, even though I fixed the width control to 100% to accomodate, it is not working with a particular hack I have installed. None of my other skins have had this issue, and I'm not sure if there's something that controls the width of the forums or prevents shrinking, or whatnot in the xml?

This style was made for 90% width, however I don't see how it would hurt to use 100%.
Which hack are you having compatibility problems with? I ask because this is the first time I've heard about a hack issue with my styles.

I have a quick question; what's the option name for changing the way you view the post in the threads. You can either have it set to where the avatar, reputation, etc. is on TOP of the actual post - or you can have it set up like it is here - to the left of the post?

scarlet, I hope you got an answer somewhere by now. But in case you didn't, the profile info on the left is called postbit legacy.


Log in to your ACP
Go to vBulletin Options
on the right, select Style & Language Settings
scroll down to Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template
select Yes
Save

This is really a great skin, I really like using it. But Peggy, aren't font sizes big?
