Do you need a style?

Do you think style is important ? Explain why. Also, how many styles/skins should the admin have ?
I was going to make a poll, but i don't think i can.

Julia, I think style is very important. And all you have to do is visit a site with a really poorly-done style to prove it.

There's no question that different colors have different effects on our moods. I think that is why some of Peggy's styles are so nice, because (for me, anyway) they make good use of color and texture, to create a comforting atmosphere.

I was just thinking that you can't please everybody, and maybe as admin you like your style, but not some of your members. I used to love vb style default before i came here, and now if i see the default only, i don't read.:(

I am hoping that the new skin we have ordered from Peggy will help with getting more members to join up - some site the skins hurt the eyes so those I avoid - I love the texture on Peggy's skins they remind me of some of the papers I use in my scrapbooking :D

I think style is very important to a forum. It shows what the forum is about. As far as how many does a admin need, well that is up to the admin. I can't say that there is a set amount.

FAY I think you will be very happy with Peggy's style she is doing for you. She does a great job.

I asked several guys ( males) if they like my skin, they all said it's so womenish,( spring) and yes my forum is for women only.

I like the soft blues - its calming - but not too girly! So the 2 male admins do not feel like they are being pushed out etc.

I keep it a secret, none of my friends know that i do forums, that's why i can't ask them. I just want to hear something nice, that i am so good. But they don't say it.

Peggy my hubby is an admin & so is the other main admins hubby - they do not post too often LOL

I don't know why i don't tell, i know a lot of people, and i will never tell them, first for work ethics reason, i am not suppose to be involved with other businesses ( and if i am promoting my own business) i think i can get in trouble.
As for my not work related forum, i don't know why, yet i don't tell even to my best friend.
