Peggy 01-17-2007, 05:28 AM I had no idea what to call this, so went with simple, lol... green-gold!
LIVE DEMO (http://www.themesbydesign.net/forums/index.php?styleid=97)
Download the attached Zip file, and unzip to your computer.
Upload the entire greengold folder into your forum/images directory, so that your path is images/greengold
Import the xml file by going to your ACP --> styles and templates --> download/upload styles --> browse --> select the xml file where you have it save on your computer --> import
There is a blank header in jpg format for you to customize your header image.
If you'd like for me to customize the header, please make your request here. Specify if you'd like the reflection, as well.
Please remember to leave my copyright and link intact in the footer, unless you purchase my branding-free option.
Enjoy!
FAYESY 01-17-2007, 08:42 AM Very cheerful hun :D
julia 01-17-2007, 07:53 PM I was wondering where it go, i used to see your forum through that skin, i like it. Oh, now i see, you changed the name .
Peggy 01-17-2007, 08:13 PM yes ma'am, I changed the name when I redesigned the forum look.
Peggy,
Is it possible to provide me with PSD file? Since I am thinking to change some images.
Like new post, no post, links and locked thread.
Also just wonder for the footer link, do you think it's possible to have background colour?
Cheers :)
Peggy 02-20-2007, 06:05 AM the background color is white - color code is #FFFFFF
I don't use PSD's, because I don't use Photo Shop to design. I use Paint Shop Pro, among other softwares. However, there is a blank header, and blank buttons in the zip file for greengold.
chillout 06-20-2007, 02:00 PM is it very easier to make the avatar display at the top rather than the side?
Peggy 06-20-2007, 03:07 PM Log in to your ACP
Go to vBulletin Options
on the right, select Style & Language Settings
scroll down to Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template
select Yes
Save
However, keep in mind that my styles are optimized for postbit legacy (info on the left), so putting it on top may mess up the style on your board.
rajumobile 06-21-2007, 02:14 AM good skin :rose:
Peggy 06-21-2007, 08:28 AM thank you :)

chrisdaman77 11-01-2007, 09:00 AM Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for, subtle but yet eye catching. I do have a problem though, the user online and offline buttons do not show and neither does the reload this page, edit, reply, multi quote, and quick reply. Any ideas?
Have you got the paths to the missing icons correct?
chrisdaman77 11-01-2007, 10:24 AM I installed just the way it said too. This is my second skin change. The other one I downloaded and installed from here worked without a hitch. Is it possible I need to get rid of the old skin from my root?
Peggy 11-01-2007, 11:51 AM No you do not have to remove any other theme. It would help to have a link to your site. Are all the other images showing up? Header image? Forum icons?
Without being able to see, it sounds like you've uploaded the image folders to the wrong place.

I was able to fix the online offline images and the reload image (found in another post) but these I am unable to. Is there a template where I can find them as this may be the issue(was with the others) also here is the link to my site

Peggy 11-01-2007, 12:21 PM Chris the only 2 threads on your forum are closed threads, so those buttons aren't going to show up for me, a guest. I don't understand why the postbit buttons wouldn't show up, since the other buttons - Reply, New Post, Closed are clearly there. I've never known anyone to have this problem before, so I really don't know what to do to correct it.
All I can tell you is to upload them again to images/greengold/buttons and make sure that you upload them in binary mode. Other than that, I haven't a clue.
chrisdaman77 11-01-2007, 12:23 PM ok thanks for the help. I will try.

Ok I did this with no luck. A good question is could something be messy in the postbit section? If so where abouts would I look?
More good news I found the problem for most ;) in the postbit template. For some reason there were .png instead of .gif so changed and wha la. Now I just need to find where the normal reply button is and fix that one.
Ok found it, again another .png. I have no clue what happened but fixed now ;). If someone else runs into this where they are unable to see their images like this one you can do a search of the templates. Check to see if their are any .png around as this will cause an issue.
Peggy 11-01-2007, 01:12 PM I couldn't begin to know where to look Chris. If you downloaded the theme from here, you have the very latest update, which is displayed on this forum, so we know that it works.
If you want to pm me with admin login info, I'll take a look in a while, and see if I can find the problem.
Peggy 11-01-2007, 01:15 PM Where on earth did you find any of the buttons in png format?? All of the buttons are in gif format.

Honestly I have no clue. Only thing I can guess is when I had my first DB which went hay wire, I had a mod that changed all .gif's to .png's. It is possible when I reinstalled it brought it over, as this happened with another hack that I had and wanted but it was giving me a DB error. If any of that makes sense great if not I know no other way to explain it. :D:D All I know is I LOVE this theme.
EDIT: I forgot to mention it was not the theme that had the .png's it was a template issue I had.
almo5les 11-03-2007, 04:32 AM Thank you for style:rose::rose:
and its my favorite

WooFi 02-22-2008, 05:33 AM yes ma'am, I changed the name when I redesigned the forum look.
Induslady 03-17-2008, 04:35 PM Hi Peggy,
Thank you for this style. I liked it and I have installed it here - www.moneytransferhelp.com/forums (http://www.moneytransferhelp.com/forums) - a new forum that I am building.
BTW, just want to make sure I have your copyright for this style displayed in my forum footer. I only see this..."design by Top vBulletin" and that too the link not working.
Let me know if I need to do anything in this regard.

hmmm thanks for letting me know about this. If you would, in the footer template, please change the copyright link to design by <a href=http://www.themesbydesign.net target="_blank">Themes by Design</a>
Tom McIntyre 06-04-2008, 02:26 PM You do not list 3.6.9. I hope that is not significant. I would like to try to install this design.
We had vBulletin installed by Jelsoft last month just before 3.7 was released. We will be upgrading to 3.71 as soon as we have completed our current conversion from bbV2.
Could you possibly give me a quote via pm or email on converting this message board style to vBulletin (currently in bbV2)? www.nawcc-mb.com/bbv2/ (http://www.nawcc-mb.com/bbv2/)
Tom McIntyre
Peggy 06-04-2008, 06:51 PM This green-gold style will work on all vBulletin versions 3.6.8, 3.6.9 and 3.6.10.
I'm not really sure what it is that you're asking?
Tom McIntyre 06-05-2008, 09:41 AM The National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors currently has a message board running bbV2. The style of the board was designed to match the current style of the main web site. However, the main web site is changing and, in any case, I would like visitors to be able to select their viewing style.
We are currently converting the message board to vBulletin. When it is converted I want to offer at least a few alternative styles including the current look of the bbv2 board.
I suppose I could do this myself, but I am pretty busy with other projects so I wanted to find out what it would cost to have a professional duplicate/interpret the current bbv2 design for vb3.
If you want to discuss the project via email, I am at tom@mcintyre.com.
Tom McIntyre 06-05-2008, 10:50 AM When I try to import the xml file for this style, I get an error message from acp that the versions do not match.
This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.
Your version: 3.6.9
File version: 3.7.0 Beta 5
I get the same message with the 3.6.8 version except the file version is 3.6.8. Can I just edit the xml file to get around this?
I answered my own question by doing it. :)
Peggy 06-05-2008, 11:41 AM lol - you imported the wrong xml file. There are two in the zip a greengold-style.xml and a 3.7 beta one. You should have imported the first one.
Either way, you didn't have to edit the xml file. All you had to do was check yes where it says "Ignore style version".

This is not something that I would do, as it will take quite a bit of coding to get that look on vBulletin. Also, you'll have to get the designers permission to copy that style and port it to vBulletin.
I'll recommend you to Chris at vB Style Wizard (http://www.vbstylewizard.com/forum/) . He's an excellent designerand coder. But again, he'll need for you to get him permission to copy the design and port it to vBulletin.
Tom McIntyre 06-05-2008, 11:45 PM We own the style. It was developed by one of our volunteers. That is why it has ll the clock and watch stuff in it.
I misunderstood what services your organization offered.
I did notice the radio button for ignore version in acp.. After I had edited the xml, of course. :o
Peggy 06-06-2008, 05:55 AM I do port styles from other bb software to vB, but only if there's no coding involved. I do css-based styles only.
Get with Chris. His prices are fair and his work is excellent.
Lizbaby4 07-22-2008, 03:58 PM I seem to be missing the misc/navbits_finallink_ltr.gif. Is it possible to get one for this style?
Peggy 07-22-2008, 06:21 PM liz, just rename the navbits_finallink.gif to navbits_finallink_ltr.gif. It's the same image, but renamed in the newer vB versions.
Lizbaby4 07-26-2008, 12:27 PM Thanks! That will help with a lot of other skins as well!
