Thanks Button

Hello,

I am in need of a Thanks button for a template. (name: Idea)

Here is one of the buttons:

Is there a blank button in that set? Without a blank and the font, it would be almost impossible to make an exact match.

Where is a thanx button in vbulletin and how is it used?

mammu, There's a hack at vbulletin.org called the Thank You (I think) hack. Some designers are now making the extra thank you button to accommodate the hack, as it's popularity has skyrocketed. I added the button to my latest designs, and will to future designs, but didn't to earlier ones.

ugh - I hate psd's because I don't use Photoshop so they're pretty much useless to me. If there's a psd of a blank button, please post it. If there's not, I can't help :(

I don't know if there's a psd of a blank button but I uploaded the folder. So, I'll be glad if you check and if there's a blank button, if you do i'll be more glad.

If we installed Thanx button then there will be less use of reputation!

Too much animation and hanky panky takes the attention away.

I find the Thanks hack very useful, especially for busier forums. People click the thanks button rather than making those endless, annoying "thanks" or "thank you" posts. And the person who is thanked earns rep points for every thank you.

It has its usefulness ;)

You need to look for the hack at vBulletin.org and install it :)

I believe it is a very useful hack, even on some smaller forums. Depending on the nature of the site. On our forum which is a small support group it works well.......

mammu, Post Thank You Hack is a great modification for vB. As Peggy said, it is better than annoying posts such as "thank you", "i agree with you", etc.

okay this is going to sound really stupid, but i managed to download the thanks hack. How do i install it on my forum - sorry novice at work lol.

adam I don't know anything about the thanks hack. The installation instructions should be in the zip file you downloaded, I would assume.

just one more q, the features say that you can do fancy things such as customise who can give thanks where etc. how do i do this?
