How Much Do You Depend On Your Cell Phone?

I never really realized how much I've come to depend on my cell phone until I didn't have one for 24 hours this past week! http://www.vbulletin-faq.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif

I'm a caregiver for people with Alzheimers, and I was at the home of one of my clients this past week. I had just finished talking on my cell, then went to do the dishes after my client was finished eating. While washing his dishes, he decided that my cellphone needed a bath, picked it up off his table, brought it to me at the sink and dropped it in the water!!! Shorted the whole thing out. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

I called my boss and told him what happened. In between his snorts of laughter, we determined that, yes I have insurance on it, of course. So I took it to Alltel, water 'n' all, lol. The gal was great about it. After we had a good laugh, she called my boss, who paid for the deductible as well as the difference in price of the new phone I wanted - oh yeah, it's a beauty! So I made out in the end. http://www.vbulletin-faq.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Anywho - just how much do YOU depend on your cell??
I can't be without mine, no way!

Certainly would find life difficult Peggy, I use it for my business and as I am out on the road a lot of the time, i would otherwise be uncontactable.

It is also great when you are running late, lost or just plain hungry and want to order a takeaway for dinner. :D

Mine could go missing for days without my realizing it.

It has no bells or whistles and I turn it on when I need to make a call. Once I have disconnected, I turn it back off.

I've been in sales for 34 years and get all the telephone time I could ever want at my job.

Its just unimaginable to have life without moniles.
I would go mad if I don't get my hand on my mobile single day.

It is an electronic leash..but what would we do without it? Many of my friends and family members don't even have 'land line' phones anymore...

Being a bit of a dinasour I'm still not sure why I have one.....I always forget to take it out with me and the odd occassion when I do take it out I wouldn't dream of switching it on for fear of draining the batteries......OK I got mine about 20 years ago and need a truck to carry the batteries. I'm quite happy that once I've left the house and the land-line I am free. My daughters explained to me that ear ache was not an epedimic...it was just folks using mobiles.
Excuse me whilst I add some more coal to the fire to keep my wonderful steam driven computer running.
