How can we have recycle bin or thrash can forum section in vbulletin where all deleted threads/posts would go?

How to make such forum section?

Go into your ACP and set up a new forum. Set the permissions so that only you (and possibly your staff can see it) and you're done.

As far as sending all deleted threads there, there is no setting for that. You would have to instruct your staff to simply move threads to the trash forum, rather than deleting them.

We call ours Area 51 and any questionable posts or threads are moved there without redirect. :) Only visible to mods or Admin.

Yep, that's what I do here.

Similar setup to the one I use on my forums (sin bin) except I also have a sin bin 2 and new mods can get used to moving posts round and moderating by using the 2 sin bin areas.

That's a very good idea

But now I don't find recycle bin that much necessary.

What are its advantages? Why should we have it?

If it isn't necessary, then you are doing a good job with your forum.

I like to use them to store inappropriate posts, so if a member wants to cry "foul", I have the original post to show why action was taken. If the post is simply deleted, then the ability to prove yourself goes with it.
