EDIT - I re-did the header template, and included new header and gradient_tcat images, along with a new xml file, in the updated zip. Just upload the images, and import the xml file, overwriting the old one.

NOTE: this theme has been upgraded to 3.7 beta 5. It is offered in the zip along with 3.6.8

Hope ya don't mind.. I took the liberty of making a favicon for this set. I used http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/. Works perfectly everytime.. Attached is a zip archive with the favicon and some instructions.

DanYou wouldn't have to Dan. When you install the webpage hack from the org, the html pages take on the default style of the site. At least that's the way I understand it. Chris is using it on Eagle Graphics Community.

I made one small modifcation though, I aligned the second image right.

I had it aligned right in the beginning and didn't like it. Just my preference

Would just like to add: I updated my board to 3.6.2 and this template works perfectly. SHOWTHREAD required a revert but everything looks fine.

sure. go into your acp, vBulletin Options, Style and Language settings, 2 boxes down, choose your default style.

Then if you want your members to be able to choose a style, right under that in the Allow Users To Change Styles box, click yes, and save

For the benefit of other members who might come across the same problem.....

I couldn't see any images on my forums after I've installed the style.

I checked everything, re-installed it, twice!!

The problem was the Image Paths. The paths were forums/images/schooldayz/misc/
And therefore couldn't pick up the images.

I had to add the word styles to all the paths.....
forums/images/styles/schooldayz/misc/

Now everything works a charm!!

I honestly don't know why you would have had to do that. Noone else has ever had to, because it's not in the image path in the xml file. I downloaded the xml file from this forum, as I do all of my styles, and I don't use a styles folder here.

One of life's strange happenings! LOL! ;)

haytham, all of the buttons and icons are in the zip file, in their folders. I just unzipped it myself and looked. The images are not new to 3.6.5 - they are the same images used in 3.6.0 - no new images have been added since then.

Elizabeth, I had to use another font, the one I originally used made the header you wanted way too big. I also had to make the title 2 lines.

That's fine. I'm working on a custom skin right now, so if that runs longer, it will be later in the week. In the meantime, post here exactly what you want.

I guess we can keep it 304x102 in size with School Dayz on it. I'd like MelodBold used, if possible. I'm torn as to what I want to replace the books. I like the idea of a school bell (handbell), but a schoolhouse would be nice too. Maybe a backpack? Or, a cluster of a glue bottle, scissors, and pencil? Don't know what you can get to fit in place of the books. Chalkboard maybe? I do like the ones you use for the set. maybe the chalkbord could read: Sub with the word sub being udnerlined and then something like Mr. John Smith underneath even. You can stick with the same blue, red, and other colors that are in it now.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing with a chalkboard first as to stick with the sub theme I have going.

Well, you'll have to decide which you want, because if I have to change it, you'll be charged for a new one. I charge $30 + per logo. The more detailed you get, the more expensive it gets.

It's starting to sound to me like you're going to need to find an experienced logo designer. We have a few here on the board.

Peggy, are you there? I had a problem while importing the xml file, I didn't see the allow overight option, so my logo and side column are gone now. How do I get it back :confused:?

I fixed my side column, I had Peggy's style as (a create a style), so I don't know what really happened.
Maybe because I still had the default style initially there, and I didn't merge it initially. I had 2 skins the default and this one. I am glad I kept that default style, and I need it because I always practice banners on it.

Peggy, after the upgrade, I am missing a second image ex. ( the one that is under the Themes By Design), it's always missing now, it says Reload this Page . Do you know what is the name of this image so I can put it there?

julia go into your ftp program, find the navbits_finallink.gif in the schooldayz/misc folder, and rename it to navbits_finallink_ltr.gif.

umm hmmm... well, other than this theme not having been upgraded to 3.7 yet, I have NO idea! I'm going to try it on my test forum (3.7) and see what it does. Then we'll know.

Ok I tested it on my test forum and it works fine.
I would say delete the style (not the images, just the xml file) and re-import it. If that doesn't work, I'm stumped.

I noticed also when you are logged in and it has "Welcome, USERNAME. You last visited ....." at the top right the username is not hyperlinked to your profile where it is in the vbulletin default theme.

Do you know how to add this hyperlinking back in or the php file this code is from so I can compare it to vbulletin's default theme.

ok, did you enable the social networking and/or custom profiles in the acp? If so, you might try this -

Create a new default skin, and copy the contents of the Navigation/Breadcrumb template, and paste it into the same template for this theme. That should do it. If not, you'll have to ask at vb.com

I got the hyperlink working. I just clicked on revert for the navbar template.
