Coffee Time!

I am an absolute coffee-holic! GOT to have my kawfee! I'm not sure that I'm addicted to it, so much as I just love the taste and fragrance.

So, this is for the coffee-lover in all of us :D

I offer this theme in both 3.6.8 and 3.7.O versions

Download the attached Zip file, and unzip to your computer.
Open the coffee folder. There you'll find the xml file, a folder of blank images and another coffee folder.
Upload that coffee folder into your forum/images directory, so that your path is images/coffee
Import the xml file by going to your ACP --> styles and templates --> download/upload styles --> browse --> select the xml file where you have it saved on your computer --> import

If you need your forum name on your header image, please request it here.
Now, excuse me, I need another cup of Folgers :giggle:

I like this theme, but I noticed all graphics are beeing pulled from your own site, but why? I need to customize it for my own use...the header particularly...

Peggy, I like this templates alot, easy on the eyes. Anyway, I figured it out and fixed it on my end. I guess other people will benefit from the fix.

You asked for instructions to install it, so here goes.

Upload the image to your forum/images/coffee/misc folder. Than go into your header template and change the image name from head_left_blank.jpg TO head_left.jpg

I followed the directions and it said upload the "coffee" folder into the image folder. Did I miss a step.

Yes, I did that.

When I view that "style" I get an x where the coffee cup should be on the sides and all the tabs across the top.

The are listed in the StyleVars as you have listed.

Veronica that is because the navigation bar on this theme is images. There is a blank one in the package that you can add text to and add it to your navigation bar.

I'll have the title image for you shortly.

Veronica here's your header image.

After you upload it to the coffee/misc folder, you'll need to edit the theme's header template in the acp to change the image's name from header_left_sample.jpg to header_left.jpg.

Hi Nzarect, welcome to Themes by Design. You'll find your header image attached.
Upload this to the styles' misc folder, then go into your header template and change the image name from head_left_sample to head_left.

How would I go about installing this correctly. My forums are already have some mods installed example the top nav with drop down, the featured photos block with photopost pro. If I revert then the header doesn't show.

I have no idea how to do anything with photopost Pro.

You should be able to just upload the images, and import the xml file and you have a skin. If there are other edits to the header because of another mod, you'll need to re-do the edits for the mod.

got it worked out.. I was reverting the whole skin instead of the just the individual sections that needed it.

Hi Steve. Sorry I didn't get the email, and haven't been to vb.org in a while due to health issues. When I clicked on the link you posted above all I see is the default vBulletin skin, no coffee skin at all.

I have no idea what you mean by placeholders when referring to the buttons. ALL of the buttons needed for this theme are in the upload package in the folder named buttons. The navigation bar for this theme is not the normal navbar. The links are all images, and also included in the zip file.

Assuming that you're referring to the sample header image, there is also a blank header image in the zip file. You can use any image editing software to put your site name on the blank header.

Until I can see exactly what you're talking about, I don't know how to further help you. Also I'm going out of town tonight, and will be back on Monday afternoon.

Ok Peggy, we are getting close. WHen you get a chance, look at the "funkyness" of the icons and colors.

holy crrrrrrrrrrap! You have either a corrupted upload or, if you had to overwrite the images, it corrupted them.

Delete the entire coffee folder, and do a fresh upload. Be SURE that you set your FTP client to Binary mode to upload all images.

*sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* I did that this morning. I am discouraged! But, I never quit. Will try again tonight.

Steve, this is just a suggestion, but why don't you go ahead and allow guests to view all of your styles for the time being? It will make it easier for others to help you out and then you can change the permissions back once you have everything sorted. I'm speaking only for myself here, but I'm not going to register for a forum just to see problems occurring in other styles.

That's a very good idea Steve. Listen if Mike or someone can't help you get it sorted over the weekend, I'll go in and do it for you Monday evening. That's the best I can do, as I'm headed out of town as I type.

Sorry I can't be of more help before then. :( Honestly, I've never, ever heard of one of anyone having this kind of problem with my themes, since they are css-based.

I appreciate it. I have deleted all of them, so what I will do is pick a bluish looking one. Then play with that one. I haven't seen to many RV themed themes, so I have to be carefull what I pick out. I did have to load a file in ASCII, and I am wondering if my ftp manager switched back to binary as default or stayed ASCII. That might just be it.

dunno. just be sure that all images are uploaded in binary mode. If you upload in ascii it will corrupt the images.

Kumari, here's your header, attached. Click on the attachment, then right-click and save.

Upload the image in to the coffee/misc folder. Remember to change the name of the header image in the header template for this theme. It is currently named head_left_sample.jpg. Change it to head_left.jpg.

Can I get Modern Mommas put in a header for this skin? :D Big spacious writing, if you can. When it's clustered it looks like there is just a lot of room around the text area.

I like the header that I currently have on the main template with the exception of the penquins which was an inside joke of my past techie.

I had VB 3.6.7 but i downloaded the patch from vb and there were some files and i just moved them over to the specified folder and now my admincp says i have 3.6.8 pl1 but when i try to upload your xml, it says my version is 3.6.7 and the file is in 3.6.8 ? I am confused .... can you help ?

when you install the xml, be sure to select "ignore style version" before you save.

It may work, but I'm not guaranteeing it. There were many template changes between 3.6.8 and 3.7 BETA.

I'm not officially updating these designs until 3.7 gets to at least RC2 or so.

hey question i just installed your wicked cool template coffee time! but my blog does not show up on the nav_bar. how do i make that happen? if I type in the blog.php address in the address bar, the blog will show up with the coffee style. i just need to add the navbar access.
on the previous style I was using it populated on its own.

FYI: The "mark" and "unmark" icons are showing up as red x's when you go to install/download this one. I didn't know where to click at first, but I figured that since the red x with the word 'mark' next to it was the only new thing to appear on the post, I'd click it and find out.

Sorry to bother you, but I'm new to building a site and I need some help.

I downloaded the skin.zip file. Then, I applied the code for the skin and it came up fine. But, the images are not working. So, I used FileZilla to 'upload' the images, but they are still not working. Do I need to do something other than uploading the images or something after it so that the images show?

No, there's nothing special to be done. Be sure that the folder coffee was uploaded into your forum's images folder. If you'd like to supply a link, I'd be happy to take a look.

The skin took, but not the images.

Since I'm brand new, I was under the impression that once the images were uploaded onto my FTP server that I was fine. But, how do you check if the images are in the forum's folder?

Using the style chooser, I can't get it to change to the coffee theme so I can check it out. That's odd, and has nothing to do with my theme.

If you'd like, you can pm me admin login info so I can take a closer look.

Is there a way to give you admin status (limited to not change stuff, not that I don't trust you, but you know :) ) without giving you my actual Admin login?

If you can, you are welcome to place the name on the header yourself. There's a blank header in the zip file. But if you'd rather I do it, then I'm glad to, and there's no charge.

Just let me know if you'd like the name in script or something plainer, such as Trebuchet or Arial.
