Styles - New or child style.

Peggy, please move if needed, i'm not sure where it should go.

Whenever i have uploaded a style i have always made it a child of the vbulletin default so everything carries over when a change is made.
I now have a new parent style (which Peggy made :D) and i have no idea how new hacks will work with it. Is it ok for me to move it and make it a child of default and will the hacks i already have import to it or will i have to do something different. Like i said i have only worked with default and child styles so i am at a miss how to go about it.

Only if you want to mess it up.

I made customizations to that skin that will change if made a child style. Any hacks that you have on the forum now that require template edits, you'll have to apply the template edits to that skin. Additionally, when you add any other hacks with template edits, you'll have to do them to that one separately.

I am sorry I still didn't understand , what is better to have Peggy's style as a child, or as a separate new and keep default ?

Julia, you will not want to set one of Peggy's styles up as a child style.

I believe there are some where you might be able to get away with it, but you might break the new style, just as easily. So it is best to not make them a child.
