Hi Everybody,
I am the owner of agelesslove.com which is a busy support forum dedicated to age gap relationships. The forum has been around for about 8 years and has evolved to well over 20,000 members.
One of the biggest hurdles with owning this forum is technical changes and site updates which I simply could never find the time to complete properly. As a forum owner, I always dreaded the major vbulletin upgrades and getting my head around all of the various options and changes with every new upgrade.
In the past I hired freelancers to complete this task but they were always in a hurry and left a ton of bugs for me to deal with which usually never got resolved. When looking for a designer, everyone seemed to be an expert with vbulletin! Unless you define everything to death, you get a real quick update with a lot of open ended questions and bugs - it is a bad experience.
This time, I somehow found Themes by Design - started looking around and reading some of Peggy's posts. It was clear that she knew what she was doing and it was an easy decision to contract her to upgrade and re-design ageless. It was painless and she wasn't looking for an incredible amount of definition. Peggy took over the project, integrated with the members and moderators and completed a site upgrade and an amazing re-design that brought Ageless to a new level of professionalism. It didn't stop there, we emailed additional ideas back and forth and she added a chatroom, pic gallery, Search Engine Optimization hacks, archive hacks and good old housekeeping on default settings, member definitions and so forth.
I am extremely pleased, the members are wowed and the site looks absolutely amazing. This whole process was painless and thorough right down to answering posts, conversing with moderators and training.
If you have a forum needing this type of attention, I highly recommend Peg, as her work is complete and professional - she knows the vbulletin scripts very well and is an excellent designer.
