Got 2 question about tuning my forum

Hi!

I like this site, and already installed the orangeblack theme, thanks for this !!
I got 2 questions:
- How do i change my forum from fluid to fixed ?
- How do i change my headers (header_left.jpg and header_right.jpg) to .gif (with the same name) ??

I didn't make them gifs because the header is gradient and saving them in gif messes it up.
The orange/black theme is a fixed theme.
