Martini

My first original theme for vBulletin version 3.7, Martini showcases many new & original features -

The style features a fixed background and scrolling forum.
Forum categories are separated on forumhome
95% original images.
Many of the images in .gif format have been replaced by images in .png format. I've started doing this because I find png images to display better than gif images.
Many thanks and credit go to the artist who designed the martini background and granted me permission to use it!
This theme is valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tbdstyles.com%2Findex.p hp%3Fstyleid%3D10&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0)

PREVIEW (http://www.tbdstyles.com/index.php?styleid=10)

Click on the "Install" button on the right of this post, then download the zip file to your computer and extract it (I put it on my desktop, it's easier to remember where I put it!).
Open your ftp client to your server. Go to your forum's images folder, open it, and create a styles folder.
Next, upload the martini folder via FTP to your server, into your forum's styles folder, so that your image path is images/styles/martini/buttons, for example.
After you've uploaded the folder, open your admin control panel on your forum, and import the xml file, by going to Styles & Templates > Download / Upload styles > Import Style XML File.
Click on the Browse button, locate the xml file for martini, and double-click it so it loads in that box, then hit the Import button.

In the zip file, you'll find a blank images folder containing a header and buttons in png format for easy editing. PSD's are not available.

Enjoy!! :rose:

I keep getting Red x's on the images. I had this problem before and can't remember what exactly I was doing wrong.

The images weren't uploaded to the correct directory (folder). Remember that the martini folder must be uploaded into your images/styles folder. Most image directories don't have one, so you'll have to make one in your ftp

I did that but not sure if I did it right. When I right click on the red x's this is what I get....

I just installed this on my forum and the members love it, but we're having a strange issue. When a member is using the quick reply box and clicks the 'go advanced' button, we get the following error:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

hmmmm thats odd. I've not had that issue here or on other sites. I did a check in the editpost template, and didn't see a security token, so I'm not sure which template that would be calling from.

I'm having a heck of a time getting the images to show. I triple checked that I had the path as images/styles/....but still no luck. I've deleted it from my acp and imported the xml again and nothing. Not even a red x. :( Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have no idea either. Be sure that you've uploaded the martini folder (the one with only the image folders in it) to the styles folder that you created inside your images folder.

Then import the martini-style.xml via the style & templates menu in the acp.

IF this doesn't work, I have no idea what the problem is :(

I will try again. :( I hope I can get it right. It is such a great design.

If everything is installed correctly, the replacement variables will work. You might want to try installing the .xml again.

To increase the font sizes, go to the styles' Main CSS. For the thread titles, go to the First Alternating Color section in Main CSS, and change the font size. Understand tho that this will change font sizes in other sections of the forum as well, not just the thread titles. You'll need to do the same in 2nd Alternating Color section.

To be honest, I don't know. I don't use the moderator column on any of my sites.

I hope martini is upgraded to the 2.8.X version, the coloring is great for us!

Other than that, I'm always anxious to see what you have new for 2.8, also.

I was happy to see that your move went alright, and that your getting settled in - and I sure hope Chris gets to feeling better!

Both of you take care, and I'll be checking back in as you all get settled in!
