Intergrating Chat

I have VBulletin installed. My friend installed chat for me earlier today. He intergrated it with the default theme with no problem, but says he can't find where to intergrate it to the Shine theme I'm using. Can you please let me know how to do it. I also have osdate installed. Are there any special instructions on intergrating it to the Shine theme?

Which chat did your friend install Southern? Flash Chat? or a chatbox on forumhome?

The chatbox automatically integrates with the forum theme, there is nothing else to do.

If it is a chatroom, either Flashchat or the other one (I can't remember the name), there is no integrating for the theme. They have their own skins, and you can't change it to the forum skin. Simply place a link in the navigation bar and that's it.


I've never even heard of osdate, so I can't help you there. Best to ask at the site where you got it. Sorry ;)

It's flashchat. I just checked, and it's only showing if I bring up the default theme, not on shine. How do I place a link on the navigation bar for it?

I just asked, he said he needs to know were to place the php code to link it.

He would get the code from the install instructions. And he would place the code where the other navbar links are.

I don't remember off-hand, but I believe that I placed the navbar code in the header template on Shine. IF it's not there, then it will be in the navbar template.

He was able to go in and add the link to Shine. The problem we have now is that the background on it is showing black with white text, the rest of the bar around it is yellow with black text. Can you tell me how to change the background and text colors on that top bar?
