Click on the "Install" button on the right of this post, then download the zip file to your computer and extract it (I put it on my desktop, it's easier to remember where I put it!).
Open your ftp client to your server. Go to your forum's images folder, open it, and create a styles folder.
Next, upload the crimson folder via FTP to the styles folder, so that your image path is images/styles/crimson/buttons, for example.
After you've uploaded the folder, open your admin control panel on your forum, and import the xml file, by going to Styles & Templates > Download / Upload styles > Import Style XML File.
Click on the Browse button, locate the xml file for crimson, and double-click it so that it loads in that box, then hit the Import button.


Inside the zip file, you'll find a blank header image and button, in png format, for easy editing. No PSD's are available.

This will work with 3.7.1

The install and comment buttons appear only on the main theme, as they are GARS buttons, not default vBulletin.

oh peggy i was so excited when I came on here and see this....I love peggy work!

The person I usually use (other admin on my site) to to the forum name is out of town and dont wanna bug her, think you could give us our header for this one??

Also the person that usually does the header change for me, changed the martini one, but its a gif does that matter because you have it as a .png and I cant get it to appear on the site????

Either extension of the image is fine, as long as it was saved in that format, rather than just changing the image name.

Be sure to check the header template and make sure that the image name there matches the name of the image.

The subforum icon isnt showing up

Be sure that they all were uploaded, because I just looked and all three subforum icons are in the statusicon folder.

yes they were all uploaded in the statusicon folder, but arent showing up on the forum for martini, daisy or crimson.

Also for crimson or martini I uploaded the logo just as I did the daisy and those two wont show up..mmmm??

Be sure that they all were uploaded, because I just looked and all three subforum icons are in the statusicon folder.

Did you change the image name in the header template?

I have no idea what to tell you about the subforum icons, as I don't have access to those 3 themes on your site.

yes changed it to what you had it as the example....let me place them for members can change to them then you can see them on my board.

ok I don't know what the problem is with Crimson FLoral on your site but - not only is the header image not showing, but you have two thead strips (that's the strip on every category that says Forum, Last Post, Threads, Posts, Moderator), in addition to the footer strip image no showing at the bottom of forum home.

Keep in mind that since I can't see other parts of the forum, such as posts, etc. I have no idea whether there are other issues or not.

My suggestion is to delete the the style via the style manager (not the images), and re-import the xml file. Hopefully that will fix things, because I truly don't know what is causing all of that.


BTW, I see the same issue with Martini. And even tho you got the Daisy header to show up, the thead strips are doing the same thing on both daisy and martini.

okay this morning I deleted them in my ACP and then reuploaded them! Still nothing changed anything....mmmmm.

When I uploaded them it did tell me:

This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.

Your version: 3.7.1
File version: 3.7.0

that is if I dont ignore the stylr verison. Dont know if that has to do with anything either.

Shall I completely in the ftp delete them and reload them in???

p.s. just deleted the daisy one completely out of my ftp and reloaded it and still have the it the same way it was before

Deleting the style using ftp does nothing but delete the images, so that's a waste of time. I have NO idea why this isn't working on your forum, as I've not encountered this issue myself, nor do I know of anyone who has.

The style version shouldn't have anything to do with it, since there were no template or layout changes from 3.7.0 to 3.7.1. I'm sorry hun, I'm really at a loss here.
