Installation Instructions
Click on the "Install" button on the right of this post, then download the zip file to your computer and extract it (I put it on my desktop, it's easier to remember where I put it!).
Open your ftp client to your server. Go to your forum's images folder, open it, and create a styles folder.
Next, upload the brightblue folder via FTP to the styles folder, so that your image path is images/styles/brightblue/buttons, for example.
After you've uploaded the folder, open your admin control panel on your forum, and import the xml file, by going to Styles & Templates > Download / Upload styles > Import Style XML File.
Click on the Browse button, locate the brightblue-style.xml and double-click it so that it loads in that box, then hit the Import button.
Inside the zip file, you'll find a Blanks folder that contains a header image and button, in jpg format, for easy editing. No PSD's are available.
If you have any questions, just holler
Enjoy! :D
SElaine 10-22-2008, 04:19 PM Great! Thank you so much. We'll be downloading soon.
A couple of questions for you:
1. Would you please do the header for me? I'd like it to read "Friends & Family Forum" (In larger font) and then in smaller font underneath, "Support. Laughter. Connections."
2. Is it possible to change the buttons on the side? Something along the lines of regular colored circles.
Thanks again!
Peggy 10-22-2008, 06:54 PM I wouldn't be able to do this til the weekend, as I have the flu and am trying to spend most of my time in bed. ha, fat chance with a very active 8 yr old son.
Sorry that I can't do this any sooner.

How ironic; I've had it myself the past few days with a 7 and 4 year old boy. Concentrate on feeling better. I can wait a few days. No worries. :)
Chris 10-23-2008, 08:31 PM Will this work for you?
SElaine 10-24-2008, 05:44 AM Thank you, Chris. It's perfect. :wtg:
I do have one question (from the not so technically minded):
Is it possible to change the exclamation point buttons along the side? Is that something I can do? I'm thinking something a little more neutral, like plain blue/yellow circles.
(If not, no big deal.)
Thanks.
Peggy 10-24-2008, 08:02 AM Glad you like the header. He did a very nice job!
I can make those status icons for you if you'll give me til tomorrow. :)

SElaine 10-24-2008, 06:19 PM Once again, you guys rock! :) Thank you.
Chris 10-24-2008, 07:07 PM Hey glad to help when I can. Glad the header worked out for you. Good luck!
P.S. Nice forum markers Peggy. I like those.
Peggy 10-24-2008, 07:33 PM You're very welcome Elaine.
Thanks Chris, nice header too, thanks for stepping in
Chris 10-24-2008, 07:49 PM Hey Peggy team work is what makes a great forum. So I don't mind at all.
SElaine 11-01-2008, 10:17 PM Hey, guys! I have a question. Here's my finished product:
www.friendsandfamilyforum.com
Is there any reason you can think of that the line under the header is not lining up? (one side is smaller) Is it the header itself or the way it was installed?
I love the notification buttons. Thanks!
Peggy 11-01-2008, 11:28 PM yes ma'am. Please open your header template, and you'll see the old width in 2 different places. Change the number to 529, and you'll be all set.
sony58 11-11-2008, 06:35 PM Peggy thank you, it really is super
Peggy 11-11-2008, 06:42 PM You're welcome, glad you like it :)
F N N Λ N N E T 12-20-2008, 02:18 PM thank you Peggy ... it's too lovely theme ... thanks again
WildRover 12-20-2008, 03:00 PM Agree too - nice and clean.
After seeing Chris's work on another site I have. I may ask Peggy/Chris to do something like this for me. Everytime I download a theme its' nevr quite right and a Custom Theme might be the way ahead.
The blue on this one is real nice shade.
Sybil 12-24-2008, 08:19 PM Thanks for this theme....
I am wondering also if its possiable for someone to make me a header for this theme, stating "Desire Mods & Skins" In larger font, and in smaller font, "The Mods you require, are made by desire."
BizAdventure 02-04-2009, 06:36 AM Hey Peggy, quick question.
In some of your themes, the subforums are highlighted when they have a new post in them, but this theme doesn't do that.
Is there a way we can do that?
Thanks!
Biz
Peggy 02-04-2009, 07:57 AM hmmmmmm... if they are, it's not intentional. It may have something to do with the css that I don't remember doing.
BizAdventure 02-04-2009, 08:56 AM Would there be a fix I could do by any chance?
;)
Biz
Peggy 02-04-2009, 09:57 AM I wish I could help but I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can you give me a link to where I can see it?
BizAdventure 02-04-2009, 11:35 AM Let me work on showing you what the issue is. I will show you pictures, be back in a while.
Biz
BizAdventure 02-04-2009, 11:43 AM Ok, if you look at the first picture, it is the main page of our forums, and notice that you see in the forum "Phase Two Recipes" there are a bunch of subforums, but none of them are lighted up showing that there are new posts in there. But when you look at the second picture, you will see that there are a bunch of the subforums that have posts which is apparant by the lighted exclamation point.
Does that help?
Biz
Peggy 02-04-2009, 01:25 PM Ok, that is working as it should.
In the first pic, the exclamation image is yellow, indicating that there are new posts in the Phase 2 Recipes forum. So if you click on the Phase 2 Recipe link, then you see all of the sub-forums and the exclamation mark indicates which subforum has the new post(s).
That's the way it's supposed to work.
Annachi 03-03-2009, 11:57 AM Will this support vb 3.7.4 version. I had downloaded it. Will be installing this weekend.
Hope to install this cool and bright style.
Peggy 03-03-2009, 12:54 PM Yes this works fine on 3.7.4
FAYESY 05-04-2009, 06:39 PM Again - will this work with 3.6.8??
Peggy 05-04-2009, 07:02 PM It should, but I can't guarantee it.
silveraden 05-16-2009, 01:17 AM Hi Admins,
Is this available in 3.8x already?
Thanks
Peggy 05-16-2009, 07:57 AM Yes it is, but it was renamed when I upgraded it to 3.8
