I'm with www.data393.com and the reliability ect is fantastic. It was great when I ran a sponsored Forum that looked after itself financially. But its now more of a hobby and I need to reign in costs. I have a full server at 393 which costs $204 pm.

If I move, where would you move to? I need reliability, preferably with 24/7 maintenance and capacity. My main site www.xpower-racing.com has loads of pictures (16,000) and I'm unsure how to move the MySql databases.

Like you Peggy I have about 7 sites that need relocating too. It's scarry stuff.

Or should I try to sell my surplus capacity?

I'm not really knowledgeable about dedicated servers, etc. However, you might want to check out the Hybrid servers at Knownhost.com (http://www.knownhost.com/affiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=272_0_1_6)
Fully managed.

I'm hosted at Knownhost on a VPS and I'm loving it. They have a very good reputation.

I was on the same host as Peggy at first and then she moved to another one. She left me behind. LOL jk But since she has been on this new host I have not seen any problems at all with the sites. They seem to run faster and more reliable than on the other host.

Peggy/Chris appreciate the comments. I will have a look at Knownhost and see if they can help.

What is the best free forum hosting service? We are familiar with various forum hosting services, especially Vbulletin Power Board, however, we are open to other suggestions. We are looking for advanced features, and a user-friendly interface with a pleasant appearance. We would also appreciate a highly active support forum where we can inquire about forum issues as well as advertise our forum.

We need a direct web address, and not just the name of the provider.

Thank you.

I've never dealt with free hosts, so I can't help you with this. Your best bet is to google 'free webhosting'. But I highly doubt that you'll get what you're looking for with a free host.
